Our School Improvement Journey
Following a period of significant change, a new Head of School was appointed in 2023, supported by an Executive Headteacher across the Trust’s primary schools. Since then, there has been a clear and sustained focus on strengthening the quality of education, leadership and provision for all pupils.
At the time of the October 2023 Ofsted inspection, the school was judged to require improvement. This judgement accurately reflected the school’s position at that time. Importantly, the key priorities identified had already been recognised by leaders and were actively being addressed.
Since then, under the leadership of the new Head of School, the school has made significant and sustained improvements. These are reflected not only in the day-to-day experience of pupils and staff, but also in:
- Growing pupil numbers, demonstrating increasing confidence from families
- Greater stability in leadership and staffing
- A sharper, more coherent curriculum and improved outcomes for pupils
- Its church school designation and re-launch
- A new 0-11 years offer
In the Autumn 2025, external review was commissioned to validate the progress made. This review was carried out with the same level of rigour as a formal inspection. While such reviews do not award formal grades, the findings clearly recognised the substantial improvements made. The report confirms that the school has moved well beyond its previous position and now provides a high-quality educational experience for its pupils.
We are proud of the journey the school has taken and remain committed to continuous improvement, ensuring that every child thrives both academically and personally.
